Hello everyone. I am pleased to announce that I have just completed a major upgrade to the site. I have added five photo gallery secions, updated the home page, added an advertise page, and included information on regular (non regatta) events in George Town.
The Photo Galleries contain photos submitted by you, the cruisers, and could not be kept up-to-date without you. so please, if you have a photo that you would like to see in the gallery, please send it in.
This page will be kept up-to-date with the latest news and regatta announcements. If you would like to add or change anything, please contact the webmaster.
I do this site completely free of charge; next time you see me around George Town, I'd love to hear from you, and what you think of it. Ask around to find out who I am.
On another note, I accidentally erased all the e-mails from the mailing list. If you were on it, or would like to be, please sign up.
-Webmaster

Sailboat Racing begins this week in George Town with a race around the new racing marks in Elizabeth Harbour on Wednesday, Jan. 13 beginning at 1pm. There will be a sailing event each week as we lead up to Regatta and points will be awarded to all participants for a new overall sailing championship award. The events will vary in distance, time and day of the week to accommodate other activities, the tides, and the weather.

All boaters are invited to participate in the 3rd annual Rally to Long Island. We set a course, keep times, and present awards, however, the main focus of the event is to have fun and to get to know other cruisers. We will depart Elizabeth Harbour on the first good weather day of February and we will sail or motor to Salt Pond (about a 6 hour sail for most boats). We’ll have a Bahamian banquet, an island tour of the north part of the island, a poolside awards ceremony at the lovely Island Breeze Resort, and a return race. Some boaters may want to stay and enjoy the week of festivities that Long Island is planning in mid-February. The return race to George Town will be followed by a culminating party and trophy presentation at St. Francis Resort. Click on the link to Racing under events for more information and photos from last year’s event. This event will count toward the new overall sailing championship award to be presented at Regatta in March.
